Krasnaya Poliana is a unique Russian resort in the Western Caucasus at the foot of the Main Caucasian Crest at the height of 550 meters above sea level surrounded with mountains of 2000 to 3000 meters� height.

 The very resort area is set 40km away from the airport of Adler city and 70km away from the city of Sochi. It takes you one hour in average to reach the Tatiana Hotel in Krasnaya Poliana from out the airport.

 The area�s climate is determined as sub-alpine so that you often may hear your guide say Russian Switzerland related to the region�s nature. Combination of mountains, glaciers, rivers and lakes coming down to Black Sea makes this place very beautiful. Mountain-sea climate is very mild, so the people can take sunbathes right on the slopes in winter. The average temperature in summer makes +24+28 C.

 It is always sunny and snowy in winter. Air temperatures fluctuate between �5 and �12 C at night and 0 to +5 C at day. Slopes get ideal for skiing in November preserving its great condition till the beginning of June. The height of snow cover in the very town of Krasnaya Poliana makes 1-1/5 m. That on the slopes is about 3-7 m high. The climate�s conditions contribute to development of the area into the best Russian mountain skiing resort in conformation with all international standards.

 By now the area welcomes up to 30 thousand travelers in the season time, who come here from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov, and even from some European countries!

 The main place of people�s activities is ski run. There are 4 ski railway lines that operate the ski run with an average height difference of 1680 meters and common extent of 14 km. Every season special machines make the ski runs smooth for the skiers.
